Eight generations of winemakers have passed through Le Clos du Vigneau. What a fabulous family adventure! The estate has 25 hectares of vineyards, mainly surrounding the village. The vines have their roots well established in the gravel of the alluvial terrace of the Loire.
The two Jamet brothers have injected new life into the operation, modernising the technical equipment used on the vines and in the cellar, without altering the style of the wines.
Our wines are products of the terroir, in which you can identify natural factors and human factors. The natural factors include the climate (its effect on the vintage), soil and rock. The human factors are the cultivation techniques (grape varieties, pruning methods, etc.) and vinification techniques (temperature, maturation, etc.). All our red and rosé wines are made from Cabernet Franc.
Wines often reflect the personality of the winemaker: convivial, approachable and jovial with plenty of character!
