Christian Millerand flies the flag for the environment, running the Domaine des Galuches sustainably. Because he is converting to organic, the land is maintained mechanically and the grapes are hand-harvested. All the Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil vineyards are planted to Cabernet Franc, known locally as “Breton”. The vines were planted by his grandparents in “La Taille” (once the bed of the river Loire). Growing on a pebble surface and clay subsoil, these old vines are low-yield but produce better-quality grapes.
Our wines are soft and fruity with raspberry notes and a hint of acidity. Light and well-rounded, they pair very well with fish, poultry and grilled meat.
