We are very fortunate that our vineyards span all the terroirs of the three appellations: sand, gravel, siliceous clay, chalky clay and pure tuffeau, which is what gives our wines their own individual personality and typicity.
Our Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil vineyards are on a gravel terrace close to the commune of Bourgueil. The Vignoble de la Contrie vines enjoy a southern exposure. The extremely porous gravel is very sensitive to rain and drought so the wines produced here reflect the weather conditions of the previous year. If the year has been particularly dry, the tannins will be more present and the wines will age well. Wines produced during a wet year will be softer and will very quickly reach maturity. On our 3.5 hectares, the average age of the vines is 45 years, which lends elegance and delicacy to our wines. We offer tastings of our different wines and vintages.
